Why We Walk

Team Amanda 2024 is back and ready to step out again in support of our sister, daughter, sister-in-law, cousin, and aunt... AMANDA!!! This year, Team Amanda 2024 will be dedicated to the memory of our amazing father, Patrick Broderick, whom we lost this past January. How this man loved his family and how this man loved AHRC! Our Dad, with our beautiful Mom, Susan, by his side, made sure Amanda would live a life surrounded by people who loved her. He embraced AHRC and all the opportunities it would give Amanda and he never missed the chance to give generously to this organization. Our goal this year is $31,443 - our Dad’s birthday (March 14, 1943) - and we know it is in reach. As you have heard us say so very many times, to know my sister Amanda is to have your life made better. By supporting Team Amanda 2024 and AHRC, we can create and enhance the very services that Long Island children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) rely upon.
